Baba Garib Nath Temple is situated at Androli near Raipur Maidan , Distt. Una , Himachal Pradesh on Thana kalan to Bhakra road.This place is 25 kms from famous tourist spot Shree Naina Devi , 35 kms from Nangal and 15 kms from Una, Himachal Pradesh.Half Submerged |
District Administration has decided to develop Raipur Maidan , Androli, Dobara as tourist destinations. Hundreds of people come the holy shrine with their families from distt. Hamirpur , Kangra and Una to spend weekend. People also come here from Punjab , Haryana and other parts of the country.

This temple is situated at the bank of Govind Sagar lake. There is a vast water reservoir at three sides of it. approximately. The temple can be sighted from distant peaks and from Bhakra - Naina Devi road.

Most amazing thing is that it is surrounded by water of the reservoir from all directions during the rainy season. People can visit at this time by boat which fills them with thrill and excitement.
Baba Garib Nath has done hard meditation under the laburnum tree (Amaltash) which is 500 years old now.

established under the very tree where Garib Nath had performed meditation. Locals say there used to be thick forest around the temple. But after the construction of Bhakra Dam, forest submerged and destroyed. Only tree and temple remained after the reservoir took shape in 1960's.
Baba Nasib Singh, a firm follower and devotee of Baba Garib Nath, took in hand the work of renovation and new construction in 1970's which is still going on. After passing away of Baba Nasib Singh, his wife has taken over the charge of temple affairs and all work is going on now under her guidelines.
The temple has a ' Langar' which serves food to the pilgrims and also has arrangement for stay. 'Garib Vani' - by definition - prayer to God is also performed here in the morning.
