States. Miari Khan sent a  force under Alif Khan to teach them a lesson.
Two of the chieftains, Raja Kirpal Chand and Raja Dayal, not only submitted without opposition but also became Alif Khan's allies.
Raja Bhim Chand of Kahlur (Bilaspur) , who rallied the rest of the Himalayan foothill rulers to make resistance, solicited Guru Gobind Singh for help. The Guru came to his assistance with a body of his chosen Sikhs.

Guru Gobind Singh described in his autobiographical poem, Bachitra Ndtak, the action that took place here.  As the enemy, he says, advanced with Dyal and Kirpal in the van, a fierce battle commenced. It however did not take long to decide the issue.
"The Almighty God hastened the end of the fight and the opposing host was pushed back into the river... Alif Khan fled in utter disarray leaving his camp to take care of itself..." This description shows how Alif Khan was chased away by Guru Gobind Singh and his Allies. He couldn't even collect his camp and left behind the armour and horses.
Guru stayed and took rest at Nadaun for 8 days after the battle.

The Gurudwara Patshahi Diswin was built on the place of battle later by Rai Bahadur Vaishakha Singh in 1929.

The sanctum, a 6-metre square room with doors on four sides, has a dome with a brass pinnacle. The Guru Granth Sahib is seated on a raised platform.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee had  taken  over control of the shrine in 1935. Now it is  run through locally constructed management body. It ran 'lungar' - mess - everyday in the gurudwara.
